Did anyone else feel like they needed a little hibernation after 2017? We’ve finally rolled out of bed just to announce that we’re back for another year of Soup Ottawa. We’re a little older, a little wiser, but our love for the local community and the inspiring projects that make it so is just overflowing – it I Valentine’s Day, after all!
You know the drill, whether you’re an individual, a group, or an organization aspiring to make a difference then we want to hear about it. New ideas and established projected are encouraged to apply.
What’s in it for you? Successful applicants will be offered a spot to present at our next Soup Ottawa event, where they will have a chance to win funding for their project. Our last winners, Cuts for Kids, took home $1090! By being a presenter, you will also have the great opportunity to generate awareness about your project, receive feedback, field questions, network, and possibly connect with future partners.
The application process is simple, and fairly quick. For more details on how to apply, please see: www.soupottawa.ca/apply/.
Applications are due by: Sunday, March 4th, 2018
How does it work? Soup Ottawa is a micro-grant event that focuses on two things: good soup and funding great community projects. For $10, every attendee gets a bowl of quality soup and bread, and one vote. The community project presenter who receives the most votes wins every penny from the pool of cash. So if 100 people show up, that’s $1000 for the winning idea!

Soup Ottawa #17: Fall 2018

Next Event: October 25, 2018
Where: 330 Kent Street, Ottawa

How Does It Work?

Soup Ottawa is a micro-grant event that focuses on two things: good soup and funding community projects. For $10, attendees gets a bowl of locally-made soup and freshly-baked bread – and one vote! Presenters show off their projects, and the project that receives the most votes wins all money raised.

Because Soup Ottawa operates with zero-overhead costs, if 100 people show up, that’s $1,000 for the winning project. For past winners, see our past events.
